Table tennis training camp took place in the Russian sport base “Yug-Sport” in Sochi from July the 2nd till July the 16th. The best Belarusian and Russian athletes came to Sochi to share their playing experience, gain some new playing techniques and build up their physical strength.
22 athletes presented the Russian Federation, 6 players participated in the training camp on behalf of our country: Vladislav Rukletsov, Heorhi Kunats, Mikhail Tsyhanouski, Nikon Shutov, Daniil Vitorski and Daniil Savastyan. The head couch of the Belarusian national team Andrei Vorobiev, who accompanied the athletes in Sochi, shared his emotions:
“Everything we needed for a decent workout we could find on the sport base: comfortable apartments, well-equipped sport hall, nutritious and healthy food. We restored our strength after hard trainings in the spa area, where we could find all kinds of saunas, jacuzzi and a pool. The aim of our participation in the training camp was to upgrade overall and specific physical strength of our athletes. We trained twice a day. The evening training included some jumping and running exercises in the stadium during one hour, then we went to the gym and work out during some 40 minutes. A fitness trainer controlled if all the exercises were performed in a correct way. All the athletes were enthusiastic to work out and did their best to do it in the best way.”
Later this summer training camp in Sochi will be welcoming female athletes.
