This year Belarus Table Tennis Federation will host 2018 ITTF Challenge, Belgosstrakh Belarus Open from 13 to 18 November, 2018. The following 6 events will take place: Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles, U21 Men’s and Women’s Singles.
The 11th Belarus Open will become a test tournament in table tennis for the II European Games, so in November we are waiting for the best players of Europe in Minsk. After all, the Belarus Open is a great opportunity to try hand at the venue that will become a place of struggle for the medals of the II European Games in the summer of 2019, and together with it for the Olympic quotas.
In 2017, 195 athletes from 29 countries took part in the Belarus Open. This year we expect an even greater diversity of participating countries, because the term of visa-free stay of foreign citizens in Belarus is increased to 30 days, provided they enter the country and depart from it crossing the state border at the National Airport Minsk. According to the prospectus of the tournament, the maximum number of participants is 260. The deadline for entries is October 13, 2018. November 13 and 14 are qualification dates, the main draw will start on November 15.
